In April 2008, the Parks Dept. will hold its final round of public meetings to solicit feedback on its draft Strategic Plan.

Your voice is needed at these meetings to ensure that pools are prioritized in the final Strategic Plan.

Let's send a city-wide message that adding pool space will improve the health of Seattle residents & communities.

Pools provide healthy opportunities for all ages and all abilities. It's time for Seattle to match peer cities in providing modern, public pool facilities. Our city has built only one pool in 30 years. We provide only 1.7 pools/100,000 citizens, far below the national average of 3.0 pools/100,000 residents.
